John Severson started his surf photography career with a Brownie in a bag.
Over the years, his cameras and lenses improved. A Keystone 16mm movie camera
launched a surf movie career. The movies launched Surfer magazine.
With the eye of a surfer and an artist, John has snapped some memorable shots.
